Hello there
I'm Lisa, a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Psychotherapy for children and teens.
I have been doing the work (and play) of therapy for over 20 years. Although I work alongside clients with a wide variety of struggles, my primary focus area is with children and teens who are on the Autism Spectrum as well as those in need of relational skills support.
I incorporate the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) model into a child-centered, warm, playful and caring group approach.
I received my graduate degree from Drexel University in Creative Arts in Therapy in 2003 and am passionate about employing cutting edge, evidence-based treatment for childhood challenges. My specialized training is in Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR®) and PEERS® Group Therapy.
In addition to being a therapist, I am a mother of two children and understand first-hand some of the challenges young children and families face today. I am approachable and know that seeking therapeutic help is a big step.
